All editors involved in the review and publication process of IMDH 2026 are expected to uphold the following ethical principles.

1. Publication Decisions

Editors are solely responsible for deciding which submitted articles are published, based on the scholarly validity, importance, and originality of the work. Decisions must be guided by conference policies and applicable legal requirements (e.g., libel, plagiarism). The final acceptance or rejection rests with the editors.

2. Peer Review

IMDH 2026 operates a double‑blind review process. Each suitable paper is typically reviewed by at least two independent experts with relevant expertise. Editors shall avoid selecting fraudulent reviewers and shall assess all disclosed conflicts of interest. Reviewers evaluate relevance, significance, soundness, originality, referencing, and language. Revision does not guarantee acceptance.

3. Fair Play

Editors must evaluate manuscripts solely on intellectual content, without bias regarding race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy. They shall encourage transparent and honest reporting, and establish a clear appeal mechanism in cooperation with the Organizer. Editors shall not require authors to cite the conference's own articles or the editors' personal work unless for genuine scholarly reasons.

4. Confidentiality

Editors must protect the confidentiality of all submitted material and reviewer communications, and keep reviewer identities anonymous. Unpublished data or ideas from submitted manuscripts must not be used in an editor's own research without explicit written consent from the author.

5. Declaration of Competing Interests

Editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest to the Organizer prior to appointment and update them as new conflicts arise. Editors must recuse themselves from handling papers they have written, or papers authored by family members or colleagues, or papers related to products/services in which they have an interest. Such submissions must be handled independently.

6. Vigilance over the Published Record

Editors shall cooperate with the Organizer to investigate any suspected misconduct (research, publication, reviewer, or editorial) and, when evidence is found, arrange appropriate corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern. Editors shall also use available systems to detect plagiarism and other ethical breaches.
